Into the Norwegian winter

Last year I joined one of the foremost photo clubs in Norway, called "Bekkalokket". Besides learning an awful lot about photography, one gets the chance of taking part in photo excursions. Yesterday we had one of those.

We started early and experienced the rise of both the sun and the morning mist.

A winter sunrise in October can appear very magical.

We stopped for a long time at a waterfall called "Steinsdalsfossen".

It is famous for the the path that goes behind it where visitors can walk dry-shod "into" the rumbling water (Famous is also a fellow blogger who is a member of our club).

As can be seen here.

We also visited "Hardanger farøyvernsenter" where old ships are restored and maintained. This is the old local steamer "Stord 1".

This is the Engine Telegraph from the same ship.

And when I got home, there was the full moon to finish off a perfect day of photography.
